Essential Knowledge Volume One (Collaboration with Colin Matthes)

The project below are some samples pulled from a book design project created in collaboration with contemporary artist Colin Matthes. Essential Knowledge Volume 1 is a book created to both serve as a stand alone art book displaying his work and as a catalog included in print sets sold to special collection libraries, collectors, and galleries.

My role was to layout the book from cover to cover while being mindful of typography and hierarchy to create engaging and easy to read page layouts that didn't distract or overstimulate due to the busy nature of the artwork.
